What I built
BSFix pairs a nature-based solution with the technology to run it at scale. Black soldier flies do the waste processing; IR imaging and computer vision track which life stage each tray has reached, and ESP32 modules and a Raspberry Pi handle the sensing and environmental control around them.
My role. 3D modelling, agricultural science and the embedded systems.
Outcome
Champions at SLIoT 2025 and SPARK 2025, winners of an IESE grant, and now funded by UNDP for a two-year project. The work is ongoing.
