What I built
A retrofit regulator for split-type air conditioners that sets the temperature from whether the room is occupied, so an empty room drifts up instead of being cooled to the last guest’s setting. It fits existing units rather than replacing them, which is what makes it usable in a hotel that already has a hundred of them installed.
